Human Rights Activist Looking To Stop Nicki Minaj From Performing In Angola!

Thor Halvorssen, a Human Rights Foundation activist, is pulling out all the stops with the hopes that Nicki Minaj will cancel an upcoming performance in Angola.

The "Super Bass" singer is scheduled to headline the Unitel Christmas Festival this coming weekend.
However, while the country continues to be ran by President Jose Eduardo dos Santos, a human rights violator, Halvorssen will continue to believe that good music is not allowed.

Thor Halvorssen wrote a letter to Nicki outlining his thoughts on why the show must not go on; one thought being the female rapper's regular charity giving going against her performing for a dictator such a dos Santos.

"Ms. Minaj, you are well known for being involved with charities such as the Get Schooled Foundation, which helps motivate young people to graduate from high school and succeed in college," Halvorssen wrote. "If you move forward with this performance for the dictator and his family, you will be in league with the people stealing educational resources and opportunity from young Angolans."

This is not the first time Halvorssen has made an attempt to stop a performance in Angola. In 2013, both J. Lo and Mariah Carey received backlash for showing the dictated country some musical love. It didn't work then, and it may not work now.
