Chris Brown Certain He Would Beat Usher In A Dance Battle

Chris Brown may have recorded a single with his mentor Usher, but when it comes to dancing, the younger star claims that he has better moves.

In an interview with MTV News' Sway Calloway, Brown made sure people know that he has plenty of confidence in his dance game. "See, I don't like to be cocky or arrogant anymore, but when it comes to dancing – when you say 'Chris Brown' and you say 'dancing,' you're gonna have to bring your A game," he told Calloway, who asked the singer whether Usher would be able to beat him in a dance battle.

In pop culture terms, according to Brown, the hypothetical dance-off would be comparable to a 1997 NBA game when a young Allen Iverson faced off against the well-established Michael Jordan. "It's like when Iverson crossed Jordan," he said, referring to Iverson's juke on Air Jordan. "It's a little different - these moves a little new." Brown said he would "absolutely not" lose to Usher in a battle of moves.

Brown's sixth studio album was released two days ago (Sept. 16) and features the Usher/Rick Ross collaboration track "New Flame." Other artists in the album include Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, R. Kelly, Akon, Kendrick Lamar, Brandy and Ariana Grande.

Last month, Brown hosted an album release party in Hollywood where former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight was shot six times along with two other victims. "I realize that what I do for a living opens my life to public scrutiny and that I have a responsibility to everyone because of that exposure," Brown told Billboard after the shootings. "I can say that I am only human and I have made mistakes. I can say that I try to live my life in the most true, honest way that I can. I am not perfect, no one is. No one is harder on me than me. No one can please everyone. No one can live in the past and expect to grow. I have been moving forward and hope that I am not defined by just a few moments in my life but all of the moments that will make up my life."
